Project Description
Lovehoney is one of the largest retailers for sex toys & lingerie, but they are also known for their sex-positive message and roster of sexologists who help educate customers and the general public. When they decided to launch an online portal in collaboration with TBD Health, they approached us to create a video to summarize the experience and stigma associated with STI infections & diagnoses, and disclosure to partners.
Using our signature cinematic style, we took the perspective of a young woman who does receive a positive diagnosis and followed what happens in the aftermath. Throughout, we incorporated advice from three sex & STI experts, tackling misconceptions in each phase of her journey.

We leveraged the bathroom mirror to hone in on our main character's transformation: from uncertainty before she takes the test, to despair after experiencing stigma on social media, and optimism after receiving advice and encouragement from a telemedicine doctor.
